PowaKaddy CT6 GPS vs Motocaddy M1: GPS or Simpler Controls in the UK?

Choose built-in GPS only if it improves your normal round. Compare an identified CT6 GPS offer with the 2026 standard Motocaddy M1, including battery, car-boot fit and controls; do not confuse GPS, downhill control and remote operation.

First establish which CT6 GPS is being offered

The CT6 GPS manual currently hosted by PowaKaddy documents course selection and touchscreen GPS operation. A file stored in a January 2026 folder does not establish a new 2026 retail launch. Ask the seller for the model identification, matching manual and exact battery package. A CT6 without GPS should not enter this comparison under the same name.

For the other side, Motocaddy’s UK page explicitly names the 2026 M1. It has a 2.8-inch LCD, nine speed settings and the cable-free CLICK ’N’ CONNECT battery system. Standard and ULTRA battery options are identified. This is the standard M1, not M1 DHC or a GPS/remote model.

Will built-in distances replace a device you already use?

If you already carry a reliable watch or rangefinder, the CT6 GPS may mainly add a second display. Decide whether that is genuinely convenient: can you read the handle screen at a glance without interrupting your routine, and is the trolley normally beside the ball when you choose a club? A distance shown at the trolley is not automatically the distance from a ball left elsewhere.

If you want to leave a separate device at home, ask for a demonstration of course search, manual hole changes and the information you use most often. Check the named course in the current mapping service. The manual describes operation; it cannot guarantee that a recent course alteration has already been mapped accurately.

Test the fold in your car with the golf bag present

Use Motocaddy’s published 650 by 470 by 410mm as a planning reference and confirm the wheel position needed to achieve it. For the particular CT6 GPS offer, obtain the corresponding measured dimensions rather than borrowing the non-GPS CT6’s numbers. Then demonstrate the fold with the actual trolley if possible.

Take your bag or its measurements and include the space for shoes, waterproofs and a second passenger’s equipment. A trolley fitting through the boot opening is only the first check; you must also lift it comfortably over the sill and close the boot without trapping cables or pressing on a display. Decide where a muddy-wheel cover will go before buying extra accessories.

Compare battery suitability and hill control separately

Describe your normal course length, slopes and bag load to the seller, and ask which offered battery is appropriate under the manufacturer’s stated conditions. Do not translate a package name into a guaranteed number of holes. The supplied charger must match the battery; charging and storage should follow that battery’s own instructions.

If downhill control is a priority, check the exact model suffix and demonstrate the appropriate control method. GPS does not imply braking or parking assistance. Our M1 guide describes an earlier named generation, while the PowaKaddy range guide helps separate family names; use this article’s current source for the 2026 M1 details.

Choose the complete usable package

Obtain UK delivered quotes including the specified battery, charger and any bag-attachment parts you need. Ask for the warranty registration requirements and local service route. An advertised trolley-only reduction is not comparable with a complete package. The shopping links below may show accessories or model searches, so inspect each result’s full contents.

Choose CT6 GPS when the exact offered unit fits your boot and its built-in distances improve your routine. Choose the standard M1 when straightforward transport plus your existing distance device is the better arrangement. Confirm current availability before treating either reference as a purchase offer.
