The Mevo Gen2 is the lower-cost starting point for a UK practice setup. The Full Swing KIT deserves its higher-cost shortlist place when its onboard display and included delivery data solve a specific practice need. Compare the complete system in your actual room before choosing either.

Two UK hardware prices, two different workflows
On 13 September 2026, FlightScope UK listed Mevo Gen2 at £1,199 including VAT, while Golf Swing Systems listed Full Swing KIT at £4,999. These are published hardware offers, not matched delivered simulator packages. The £3,800 difference leaves considerable room for a mat, safe enclosure and suitable computer, but does not establish which system will give you more useful practice.
Decide what you want to see immediately after impact. If you mainly rehearse wedge carries and review a session afterwards, a connected screen may be perfectly workable. If repeatedly looking at or operating a phone disrupts practice, KIT’s onboard readout has a clearer purpose. Try reading your chosen numbers from your normal stance rather than judging display photographs.
| Decision | Mevo Gen2 | Full Swing KIT |
|---|---|---|
| Initial UK hardware reference | £1,199 published offer | £4,999 published offer |
| Data and software | Check base outputs against paid Pro Package and Face Impact Location additions | 16 core outputs; simulator software remains a separate question |
| Viewing practice | Plan the connected device and its position | Onboard screen plus compatible app workflow |
| Indoor suitability | Confirm exact Gen2 indoor layout and chosen ball requirements | Confirm current KIT positioning and complete flight clearance |
Count usable practice features, not headline numbers
FlightScope lists 20 Gen2 data parameters and an eight-course E6 Connect bundle for iOS/PC. Its FS Golf platform has broader device support, so an Android phone working with FS Golf does not mean the bundled E6 entitlement works on Android. Ask which club-delivery and impact-location features need paid additions, and price only the features you intend to use.
Full Swing’s Europe KIT information lists 16 core outputs and describes KIT Studio simulation separately. A count of parameters is not a count of independently measured physical quantities: projected flight results and measured launch information serve different purposes. Have the demonstrator show exactly the club and ball fields your coach wants, including what appears after a mishit.
Mark out the room before requesting the package
The current Europe KIT page gives an indoor starting layout of eight feet behind the ball and eight to ten feet of ball flight. Older KIT documentation has used different rear-distance guidance. Ask the supplier to identify the current instructions for your firmware and mode, then confirm the complete arrangement. Screen clearance, enclosure depth and swing clearance are additional requirements; adding two published distances does not approve a room.
For Mevo Gen2, request the current model’s indoor diagram rather than borrowing an original Mevo or Mevo+ arrangement. Photograph the intended radar position, mat, ceiling, door rails and surrounding metalwork for the installer. Ask how the exact ball type and any metallic stickers affect the intended indoor measurements. Our indoor versus outdoor launch-monitor guide explains why a short indoor trial and open-air practice are different environments.
Run the same demonstration on both
Bring your normal clubs and ball model. Agree a short sequence of partial wedges, mid-irons and drivers, retain the ordinary misses, and note failed reads separately. Ask to save and retrieve the session on the account you would use at home. This tests the workflow; a small demonstration cannot certify accuracy against an independent reference.
Request a line-by-line UK quote covering hardware, VAT, delivery, supported computer or tablet, licences, optional data unlocks, mat, enclosure and setup. Also identify the seller handling a fault and which software payments recur. The broader FlightScope buying guide is useful if another model enters the comparison.
Make the extra spend earn its place
Choose the Gen2 package when its demonstrated base or specified upgraded features answer your practice question and preserve the budget for a comfortable bay. Shortlist KIT when its readout and data workflow are benefits you have actually tried. If neither fits the room, pause the radar purchase and investigate another layout. Accessories should follow that decision, including a stable device stand and appropriate alignment tools.
