Match an MGI replacement battery to the exact caddy and approved charger before comparing capacity or price. Two packs labeled 24V are not necessarily interchangeable. MGI explicitly excludes ZIP Navigator and Navigator AT from its 250Wh battery listing, while its 299Wh ZIP pack lists those models. Ai GPS+ has a separately identified replacement.

Record the existing equipment first
Photograph the caddy model and serial label, battery label, docking interface and charger model. Use these to identify parts with MGI or an authorized US seller. A marketplace title saying “fits MGI” is not enough information.

Read the exclusion, not just the capacity
The 250Wh listing contains the Navigator exclusion. The 299Wh ZIP listing gives its supported models. These are practical examples of why selecting a smaller pack by voltage alone can produce the wrong purchase.
A capacity figure describes stored energy. It does not establish the case shape, connector, electronics or approved charging combination. Do not modify a docking connection or add an improvised adapter to make an unapproved battery fit.
Ai GPS+ is a separately specified route
The Ai GPS+ replacement page identifies its 380Wh pack and the LC2323 charger. It also says the charger is not included. Check the label on the charger you own before assuming a battery-only order completes the setup.
HALO’s product page also uses a 24V battery description, but that is not evidence that a ZIP or Ai GPS+ replacement interchanges with it. Obtain the exact HALO part confirmation for your serial number.
Diagnose before replacing an expensive pack
Describe the symptom precisely: does the caddy fail to power on, stop early, fail to charge or show a particular indicator? Inspect only the external items allowed by the manual and follow MGI’s troubleshooting advice.
A charger fault, damaged dock or poor connection is a different repair from a depleted battery. If the battery is damaged or has been submerged, stop using or charging it and contact MGI for the appropriate handling process. Do not open the case to replace individual cells.
Choose capacity for your actual day
Once compatibility is established, discuss your route length, bag load and frequency of multi-round days. Manufacturer hole claims depend on conditions and battery care; they are not a promise that every course and load will produce the same duration.

Complete the replacement checklist
Confirm the part number, approved caddy, charger, connector and included items in writing on the order. Keep the receipt with the model information. Follow the MGI care guidance for the exact battery and charger rather than applying advice from a different lithium product.
