Enquire about the location, available appointment and any charge before travelling: an enquiry form is not a confirmed booking, and a sales demonstration is not a weekend rental.
Zen Golf Studio in Sheffield describes using Full Swing KIT alongside 3D motion capture and coaching with Darren Webster-Clarke. That is a route to ask about coached use of the technology. Confirm which session uses KIT, who teaches it, its duration and total price. Do not assume the venue rents the monitor out or that a coaching fee buys unrestricted practice time.

Make a sales demonstration useful
Send a short list of what you need to establish. For example: reading carry and launch without touching a phone, saving a wedge practice session, reviewing ordinary misses, or switching between family users. Bring the phone or tablet you intend to use and ask the retailer to confirm current app compatibility. A demonstration on a different device can leave an expensive gap in the decision.
Ask for the indoor or outdoor arrangement closest to your intended use. A spacious demonstration bay does not establish performance in a shallow garage. Take measured room information with you and request advice on the exact layout. Use coaching when interpretation is the real obstacle
If you can already see your numbers but do not know what to change, another specification comparison may add little. A suitable coach can help choose a small set of useful practice measures and show how they relate to the shot you want to improve. Ask for an explanation you can apply later, not simply a printout containing every available number.
Agree one goal, such as more reliable wedge distances or understanding a recurring start-direction problem. Ask whether a written practice task or saved session is included. Calculate ownership against the service you would replace
Use your expected annual visits multiplied by the confirmed session price, then add travel and any required membership. Compare that with the complete home-system cost, recurring software, maintenance and the space you would dedicate. The £4,999 hardware reference is only one part of ownership; it should not be divided by an invented hourly hire rate.
Do not count a coached lesson as interchangeable with unattended home practice. Owning KIT does not reproduce the coach’s instruction or another studio’s room. Equally, driving to a venue may make frequent short practice sessions unrealistic. Estimate the sessions you would actually complete, including dark winter evenings, rather than the schedule you hope to maintain in an ideal month.
If you find a take-home rental
Obtain written confirmation of the exact KIT model, included charger and accessories, collection and return arrangements, deposit, damage liability and data/account handling. Confirm whether commercial hire is covered and what happens if your room proves unsuitable. We have not verified such an offer here, so the practical first step is a documented demo or coaching enquiry.
