Identify the exact model
Callaway’s original model reference documents an AI-designed Flash Face, Jailbreak bars, a T2C triaxial carbon crown and a sliding 16g perimeter weight. It does not identify this original driver as Flash Face SS21.
The previous article also called the hosel “SureFit”, which is not the correct Callaway system. Check the actual Callaway sleeve and the model’s adjustment guidance. We have removed the invented TrackMan panel, average distance table and forward-dated November price snapshot.

These describe the original model. A used shaft, adapter or later alteration can change the actual build. Compare the seller’s photographs and measurements with the reference, and use the adjustment instructions for that specific head.
Inspect the head, shaft and adjustment parts
- Ask for close photographs of the face, crown, sole and shaft, including the adapter.
- Check for cracks, damaged threads, missing weights, rattles or a loose head.
- Confirm shaft model, flex and actual playing length; a head-only deal needs separate costing.
- Establish whether a compatible wrench, headcover and any replacement parts are included.
