Start with Heatrub Ultimate if your main problem is feeling cold through a winter round. Start with Heatrub Move if you want a layer for changeable autumn days and tend to get warm while walking. That recommendation follows Zerofit’s different intended uses; your usual pace, outer clothing and personal comfort still decide the better purchase.

Choose by the round you actually play
Heatrub Ultimate: the colder-round shortlist
Consider Ultimate when you want your next purchase to address cold mornings and long waits between shots. Check its own size chart before ordering: the same letter size is not equivalent to Move.
Heatrub Move: the changeable-day shortlist
Consider Move when your round includes brisk walking and you prefer to adjust warmth with a removable top. Confirm the sleeve version on the retailer listing if thumb holes matter to you.
What changes between Ultimate and Move?

| Example size L | Manufacturer chest guide: 40–44 inches | Manufacturer chest guide: 43–47 inches |

Zerofit’s product chooser places the two garments in different conditions. Its fabric descriptions also differ: Ultimate includes wool in an acrylic-led blend; Move uses polyester, polypropylene and polyurethane. If wool content affects your clothing choices, read the actual garment composition before ordering.
Use the temperature claims as guidance
The brand publishes temperature ranges and comparative warmth claims. Those are manufacturer claims, not a promise that one layer will keep every golfer comfortable for four hours. This guide has no independent thermal measurements that would justify assigning either garment a warmth score.
Think about your last uncomfortable round. Were you cold from the first tee, or comfortable until you stopped walking? Did a heavy outer layer become awkward halfway round? Buy for that recurring problem. A garment chosen only for the coldest forecast may be less useful across the rest of your season.
For a practical comparison, write down your normal base layer, midlayer and jacket. Identify the single item you want to replace. Keep a removable layer available while learning how a different base layer works with your existing clothing; there is no need to replace the whole outfit at once.
Read the two size charts separately
The current Ultimate product page and Move product page show different chest ranges, illustrated in the table above. A golfer accustomed to one range should recheck the other rather than repeat the label on the old garment.
Measure your chest, check the relevant chart and follow that model’s current fitting advice. Zerofit’s general size guidance describes a snug fit without excessive tightness. Do not resolve a poor fit merely by buying the only size left in a sale.
Before removing labels, try the garment with the golf clothes you expect to wear over it. Reach forward, turn your shoulders and take a slow practice-swing position where there is enough room. Check that the hem remains comfortable and that fabric does not gather under the arms or pull across the shoulders. This checks fit; it cannot establish outdoor warmth.
Compare the delivered purchase
The retailer links above are for black base-layer tops. Check that the basket contains the intended top, colour and size, rather than matching leggings or an accessory from the same range. The manufacturer offers Move sleeve variants, so a general family name does not settle every detail.
Compare the total after delivery and any return postage. Check the seller’s current return conditions before trying clothing: the manufacturer’s direct-store policy is not automatically the policy of a different retailer. Keep the packaging until you have made your fitting decision, and follow the care label for the garment you receive.
Which is the more useful first purchase?
If you already have a comfortable autumn layer but still abandon cold rounds, Ultimate is the more relevant candidate to investigate. If you want one purchase to work across more changeable days, begin by assessing Move. These are buying judgments based on the different product roles, not proof that one will outperform the other on your course.
For the wider layering decision, read our UK golf base-layer guide. If you are buying for someone else, get their measurements and preferred fit first; an easily exchanged present is more useful than a guessed size.
