Player V is the more compact VESSEL option to investigate for mixed carrying and cart use. Player V Pro adds a larger top and support for its dedicated Club Organizer. Choose Pro because those features improve your actual club access, not because “Pro” automatically means a better bag for walking.

Choose the divider layout before the finish
The current Player V offers 6-way and 14-way tops; Player V Pro offers 7-way and 14-way. An older help-table entry says 15-way for Pro, but the current product description and selection are 14-way. Check the exact color and top combination on your order.
| Feature | Player V | Player V Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Top options | 6-way or 14-way | 7-way or 14-way |
| Grouped-top construction | Six top openings with three enclosed full-length dividers | Seven enclosed full-length dividers |
| Individual top | 14 enclosed full-length dividers | 14 enclosed full-length dividers |
| Main exterior finish | Smooth synthetic material | Pebbled synthetic material |
| Dedicated Club Organizer | Not compatible | Compatible version sold separately |
| Cart strap pass-through | Yes | Yes |
A top opening is not necessarily a separate channel down the entire bag. Our full-length divider guide explains that distinction. It matters when your real frustration is grips catching below the top rather than clubheads touching above it.
Test your grips and putter in both bags
Load your actual set, including the putter with its normal headcover. Remove and replace clubs while the bag is upright and again with the stand deployed. VESSEL says the Player V 14-way best accommodates standard iron grips; larger grips deserve a direct trial rather than an assumption based on the number of slots.
Grouped openings can make it easier to choose your own club arrangement, but they do not suit everyone. Individual channels offer defined positions while requiring each grip and headcover to fit the available space. Do not select the most divided top without checking how your set moves through it.
Compare the weight you will actually carry
VESSEL lists body, strap and rain-hood weights separately in product details. Compare equivalent complete configurations, then add your normal clubs, water and accessories. A body-only figure is not the load on your shoulders during a wet round with the hood packed.
Adjust the straps and walk with each loaded bag for a meaningful trial. Check where the base contacts your body and whether the pockets change the balance when filled. Our walking-bag guide helps decide whether a substantial premium stand bag suits the amount of carrying you really do.
Cart use needs more than a strap sleeve
Both models have cart-strap pass-through features, but confirm fit on your riding cart or push cart. Look at the lower support and stand mechanism, then open the pockets with the cart strap in place. A protected strap route does not guarantee that every cart cradle fits the base.
If most rounds involve a cart, Pro’s extra top space may matter more than a compact carry shape. If you carry regularly, the additional size should earn its place through better access or organization. Use our bag-type guide if a dedicated cart bag may be the more suitable starting point.
Is the organizer a deciding feature?
The support comparison confirms that Player V does not accept the Pro organizer. The dedicated attachment is an additional purchase with its own club-fit restrictions, including no support for left-handed clubs. Do not choose a whole bag around it until those restrictions have been checked.
Try the Pro without the attachment first. If its ordinary dividers solve your organization problem, an additional rack may be unnecessary. If you want fixed head positions, evaluate the exact organizer with your set and account for its added weight and setup.
Complete the order deliberately
Confirm the model, top, material variant, included strap and hood before paying. Special finishes can differ from the standard smooth-versus-pebbled comparison. Buy the bag that works with your clubs, shoulders and cart; use accessory links only after those choices are settled.
