Waterproof Stand Bags Under £150 in the UK: Complete-Feature Checks

Ben Sayers Hydra Pro, BIG MAX AQUA Seven H and TourDri BGMS850 are three waterproof stand-bag models worth checking against a £150 budget. Their UK listings show product prices below the limit, but the right choice depends on your loaded carry fit and preferred club layout.

Treat this as a dated shortlist, checked 13 September 2026. Confirm your chosen colour is orderable and the final delivered total stays within £150. A low category-page price is not a promise of stock.

Hydra Pro: compare the club layout you will actually use

The Hydra Pro stand-bag listing specifies a 14-way top, seven thermo-sealed waterproof pockets and a detachable waterproof hood. This is the stand model, not the similarly named Hydra Pro cart bag. Its listed empty weight is 2.3 kg.

Bring your own clubs when checking the top. Remove and replace the putter and the irons you use most often with the bag both upright and resting on its legs. Fourteen top openings do not, by themselves, prove fourteen individual full-length dividers. Ask about internal separation if grip tangling is the problem you want to solve.

AQUA Seven H: less empty weight, a different top

The BIG MAX specification lists a 1.6 kg bag with a four-way, 7.3-inch top and seven pockets. Its rain-hood compartment sits behind the back padding. The GolfOnline range listing showed £139; use the actual Seven H product page to resolve colour and stock.

The stated weight is 0.7 kg lower than Hydra Pro’s, before loading. That is a useful starting point, not proof it will feel more comfortable on every golfer. Check whether your grips move freely through the grouped top and whether your waterproof jacket fits in the pocket you intend to use.

TourDri: check the exact BGMS850 bag

The TourDri listing specifies waterproof material and zips with taped seams, a four-way top and detachable straps. Its displayed £119 price leaves some room below the budget ceiling. The page also lists a rain hood and a one-year manufacturer warranty.

The checked page did not supply a weight we could confidently compare with the other two. Ask the seller for the exact bag’s empty weight if that will decide your purchase. Keep BGMS850 in the request: another TourDri stand or trolley bag should not inherit this product’s price or construction.

A waterproof claim needs a usable closed bag

The waterproof golf-bag guide explains why a rain hood alone is insufficient. Here, waterproof construction is part of the named products’ descriptions, but it still depends on using closures and the hood correctly.

Try retrieving a glove and replacing a club with the hood fitted. Check that pocket zips close without forcing them around overfilled clothing. Plan where wet towels and gloves go so you do not put them beside items you want to keep dry. A sealed pocket cannot make an already wet item dry.

Use your playing load for the carry trial

Load the bag with the clubs, balls, drink and outer layers you usually take. Adjust both straps, walk, then put it down and lift it again. Notice whether the base catches your leg or the top presses awkwardly against you. Those observations are more useful than comparing empty bags by their handles.

If you sometimes use a trolley, check its straps, base support and access to pockets too. Our carry, stand and cart bag comparison helps decide how much weight to give that secondary use.

Make the £150 limit a final-total check

Select the colour before checking availability. On the TourDri page, the presence of both buying and stock-notification controls does not prove every colour can be dispatched. Confirm the actual order rather than relying on a search result.

The Golf Shop Online advertises free standard delivery above £30 for qualifying UK mainland addresses, excluding the Scottish Highlands. Check your postcode and chosen service; do the same at GolfOnline. If the preferred bag exceeds £150 delivered, wait or choose another verified waterproof stand bag. Do not quietly substitute a cheaper water-resistant model to make the figures fit.
