Choose Q Follow if following is a feature you intend to use on suitable open parts of the course. Choose VERTX if you prefer actively directing a remote caddy and want to assess its Active Terrain Control. Both choices still involve controlling and supervising the machine; a follow model is not automatically the better purchase for every walking round.

Choose the control routine first
The current Q Follow page describes follow and remote functions. VERTX emphasizes remote operation and Active Terrain Control. VERTX should not be purchased on the assumption that following can simply be enabled later.

Follow is most useful where you can actually use it
The Q Follow manual recommends follow use on clear, relatively flat fairways. It follows the handset and describes a specific activation position. It is not a system that can be sent to find you anywhere on the property.
Think about your usual course. Long open walks may give follow a clear role. Frequent tight passages, crossings and other areas needing direct control reduce the time you would use it. That does not make Q Follow unsuitable, but it changes how much value the feature provides.
Evaluate VERTX control with your normal load
Ask a dealer to demonstrate its speed and terrain-control behavior within the manual’s permitted use. Include the turns and stopping routine you will repeat. We have not independently measured its traction, braking or stability against Q Follow.
A manufacturer description of terrain control is not a guarantee that every slope is appropriate. Discuss a particular challenging section of your course and the correct operating method instead of relying on a broad marketing claim.
Learn the transition before the first round
For Q Follow, practice moving between follow and remote modes on suitable open ground. The US support guidance emphasizes practicing with a bag fitted and the handset in its proper position.
For either model, know the stop controls and keep the remote available. A caddy carrying the bag reduces pushing effort, but it should not be allowed to disappear from your attention while it is moving.
Compare the battery actually selected
The current US selectors offer Base and Max choices. Make the same selection when comparing offers, then check the included charger and accessories. A lower displayed starting price may represent a different battery package.
Course conditions and load influence range. Do not turn a standard or extended label into a promise of a particular number of holes for your route.
Test loading as carefully as walking
Fold the cart as instructed, remove the battery where appropriate and try the approved lift. Check your trunk opening and room for the bag. A compact shape can still be awkward for a particular vehicle or lifting position.
