Spornia Replacement Target: Match SPG-5, SPG-7 or SPG-8 Before Ordering

Match a Spornia replacement target to the net model before ordering. The target’s dimensions are smaller than the complete net dimensions, so a measurement of the frame opening alone can send you toward the wrong part. Identify SPG-5, SPG-7 or SPG-8 and confirm the selected variant.

Confirm the model on the net or original order

The official replacement-target listing gives the three sizes in the table and describes a replacement target only. It is not a complete new net. Check the label, original order or supplier record before using a photograph to identify the model.

If the label is missing, photograph the complete net and its attachment points and ask Spornia to identify the correct part. Include measurements of the old target, noting any stretching or damage. An old target’s distorted shape is weaker evidence than a verified model name.

Black practice target or white projection target?

A black bulls-eye sheet provides a visible practice target. A white projection sheet serves a different purpose for a simulator image. Decide which job you want the replacement to do rather than selecting on color alone.

If you are adding projection, check the complete equipment plan separately. A target sheet does not include a projector, launch monitor or simulator subscription. If you only need to replace a worn impact area, adding projection equipment may be unnecessary to restore the practice setup.

Inspect the rest of the net before replacing the target

A new target cannot repair damaged surrounding netting, a distorted frame or failed fastenings. Inspect those areas before resuming use. Look at the paths of ordinary misses as well as the point where a well-struck shot meets the target.

Our practice-net guide explains why the capture system must suit the space. Keep people, windows and valuables outside potential ball paths, and follow the net’s current setup instructions. A fresh-looking center sheet does not establish that the complete net remains fit for use.

Check what the replacement package includes

Ask whether the selected replacement includes all attachment pieces required for your generation. Keep the old fittings until the new package has been identified, but do not reuse a damaged part simply because it is available. If a fitting differs, resolve compatibility with the supplier rather than improvising extra tension.

On delivery, compare the selected model on the packing information with the order and inspect the sheet before installation. A folded product may look similar across sizes. Measuring it and checking the variant early is easier than discovering a mismatch after attaching it to the net.

When replacement is the practical choice

A matching target is a sensible maintenance purchase when the rest of the net is sound and the existing size still suits your practice. If the wider capture area or room arrangement is inadequate, evaluate the whole setup instead of expecting a replacement sheet to solve it.

Use our net-versus-screen comparison if your plans have changed toward a permanent simulator. For a straightforward repair, record the confirmed model and target size with the order so the next replacement is easier to identify.
