Motocaddy Dry-Series vs PowaKaddy Dri Tech: UK Trolley-Bag Fit

Start with the exact trolley base, then compare the 2026 Dry-Series and identified Dri Tech bag under load. Their similar divider and pocket counts do not establish native attachment compatibility or convenient access on your trolley.

Use two exact current bag references

The 2026 Motocaddy Dry-Series lists TPU nylon, sealed seams and zips, nine pockets, 14 full-length dividers, an enlarged putter well and an EASILOCK base. The 2026 PowaKaddy Dri Tech Black/Red reference, SKU 02923-07-01 also lists nine pockets and 14 full-length dividers, with an oversized putter bay and MAG-LOK attachment.

Those similar headline counts do not make the bags interchangeable. This comparison is about how the base and upper restraint meet your actual trolley, followed by access to clubs and pockets. Older bags with the same range name need their own specification; a clearance colour may belong to a different generation.

Three separate meanings of “fits my trolley”
Level of fit What to establish
Native attachment Exact bag base matches the trolley’s named system
Supported conventional fit Bag sits securely using the approved restraints
Usable loaded fit Clubs, pockets and controls remain accessible

Native base systems are the first decision

EASILOCK and MAG-LOK are different systems. Do not assume that the bag from one brand engages the other brand’s native attachment. Ask the seller to demonstrate the exact bag and trolley combination and show which restraints the trolley manual requires. A general claim that a bag “fits most trolleys” is not confirmation of native locking.

For an older PowaKaddy, establish whether it has the relevant compatible MAG-LOK arrangement before buying around that convenience. For a Motocaddy, identify the trolley generation and EASILOCK fitting. Do not improvise an adapter or remove a necessary strap because a photograph of a different combination appears strap-free.

Cross-brand use needs a loaded demonstration

Place your normal clubs, waterproofs and drinks in the bag. Check that the lower base sits squarely on the support, the upper restraint reaches its intended position and neither forces the bag against an unsuitable edge. Gently move the trolley through the retailer’s approved demonstration to see whether the bag rotates or lifts.

Now open every pocket you use during a round. The Dry-Series lists a concealed strap channel, but you still need to verify where your own trolley’s strap crosses it. On either bag, check whether a restraint covers a zip, crushes a pocket or blocks a drinks compartment. A secure bag with inaccessible storage may still be the wrong fit.

Try your putter grip and club arrangement

Full-length dividers describe the internal layout, not a promise that every club combination will move freely. Insert the actual putter with its grip and headcover. Remove and replace your longest wood and shortest wedge while the bag is on the trolley at its normal angle. Try your preferred order before deciding that one top is more practical.

If you use oversized grips, check several adjacent dividers at once rather than testing a single empty slot. Also inspect the carrying handles. A cart bag still has to move from storage to car and from car to trolley; access to a lower lift handle matters when the bag is full.

Waterproof construction is only part of keeping equipment dry

For the named references, both sources describe waterproof construction. Check the supplied rain hood and practise fitting it with the bag restrained. Can you close the club opening and still reach the clubs you need? A zip left open while looking for a ball creates a different problem from the fabric specification.

Follow each bag’s cleaning and drying instructions after a wet round. Empty damp clothing instead of treating the bag as sealed long-term storage. This guide does not establish an independently tested waterproof winner or guarantee that an open pocket keeps every item dry in all conditions.

Choose the native-compatible bag if that attachment simplifies your routine and the loaded layout works. Choose a cross-brand combination only after its supported restraint method has been demonstrated. Our Motocaddy bag guide and PowaKaddy bag guide explain the families; your exact trolley base should decide this purchase before colour or pocket count.
