Launch Pro Silver vs Gold: What the New Tiers Actually Unlock

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

For Launch Pro or Launch Pro Indoor, Silver is the starting point when its included Foresight practice and starter simulation cover your needs. Gold matters when you want the wider included course package or supported third-party software access. Paying for Gold does not automatically buy that third-party application.

Read the current tier names with your device model

Foresight’s updated subscription table lists Silver at $199 per year and Gold at $499 per year when checked on September 13, 2026. Silver applies to Launch Pro and Launch Pro Indoor, not GC3S. It includes ball and club data, FSX Pro and a starter FSX Play course package. Gold expands the Foresight course package and enables third-party access, with separate software purchases where required.

The resulting difference is $300 per year at those listed rates, before other software or applicable charges. The useful question is what that difference enables in your own bay. If you never use the extra courses or another simulator application, their presence on a feature chart does not itself improve your practice.

Write down the application before choosing the subscription

If your goal is a particular simulator, name it. Ask whether the exact Launch Pro model is supported, whether a trial subscription qualifies, and which account must hold the license. Then check the computer requirements from that application’s own developer.

Do not buy a software license merely because a retailer’s screenshot shows it beside the monitor. Package photography is not an entitlement record. Get the hardware, manufacturer subscription and third-party license listed as separate items on the quotation.

Our launch-monitor subscription guide explains why a recurring hardware connection permission and a simulator application can appear as two charges. Neither should disappear from your budget just because they are activated through different accounts.

Check an existing account before changing anything

Older owners may have separately purchased rights or a grandfathered arrangement. Do not replace a functioning account setup based on a generic article about new purchases. Record the device, current plan and renewal date, and ask Foresight to explain the consequences for that exact account.

The subscription-management instructions describe how to inspect and manage the subscription through the relevant FSX Live account. Make sure you are signed into the account associated with the monitor. An empty subscription page under another email address does not establish that the device has no active rights.

Before upgrading, check when the change takes effect and how the current paid term is treated. Before downgrading, identify the features you will lose and when that happens. Preserve your invoice and the written answer instead of relying on remembered checkout wording.

Separate software access from a working room

A successful license purchase does not establish that your computer can run the selected graphics settings, or that the hitting space contains real golf balls safely. Test the supported connection and software before committing to a permanently installed screen or computer upgrade.

For a mixed range-and-home routine, our indoor versus outdoor guide helps identify the setup questions that remain outside the subscription comparison. Keep the physical arrangement and the account plan on the same purchase checklist.

Spend the remaining budget on a complete usable setup

Choose accessories for the job already defined: appropriate hitting equipment, a compatible protective case or sensible cable management. Silver can be the rational choice for a focused Foresight setup. Gold can be the necessary choice for a specific wider software plan. Neither is inherently better without that plan.
