Choose an e12 trial around the flight problem you observe: HiLaunch for investigating a low-flight limitation, Straight for a dispersion-focused comparison, or Speed when you want to investigate a more penetrating trajectory. The model name is a starting hypothesis, not a guaranteed correction.

One family, three stated design aims
Bridgestone’s official e12 introduction identifies the current three-model family launched in 2025. HiLaunch has the lowest compression of the group and targets higher launch; Straight uses Contact Force dimples and a dispersion-focused design; Speed is the firmest of the three and targets players who launch too high. All three include the MindSet graphic.
These are the manufacturer’s intended differences. We have not measured a distance or accuracy ranking. In particular, buying a ball called Straight does not guarantee that a hook or slice disappears. Keep contact and delivery in the discussion when evaluating a persistent directional miss.
| Model | Observed issue worth investigating | What would count as useful evidence |
|---|---|---|
| HiLaunch | Normal shots fly too low to produce useful carry | A playable carry and landing improvement on representative strikes |
| Straight | Your ordinary shot pattern is wider than you want | A repeated dispersion change, with the same club and normal swing |
| Speed | Flight is higher than useful for your course | A manageable trajectory without losing needed carry or stopping control |
Describe the miss in terms you can measure
Before ordering, write the problem in one sentence. “My tee shots struggle to carry the front of the fairway” gives you a clearer comparison than “I need more speed.” “My common miss finishes right of this target corridor” is more useful than “I want a straight ball.”
Use a recent range session or familiar course as your reference. If every other strike is topped or heavily mishit, first work on making the contact representative enough to compare equipment. A ball trial can still be enjoyable, but its results will be harder to interpret.
Our Bridgestone range guide covers the broader range. This family page keeps the three e12 choices together so you can choose a sensible first sample instead of treating each name as an independent miracle solution.
Try one candidate against your present ball
You do not need to buy three dozen immediately. Start with the e12 model whose stated purpose best matches the problem, and keep your current ball as a control. Alternate a few representative shots with the same club and target. Use a launch monitor if available, but distinguish measured carry from a modeled total distance.
For a Straight trial, compare the whole shot pattern and note common misses. Do not delete poor strikes only from the candidate you hope will win. For HiLaunch or Speed, check both the intended flight change and whether the ball finishes in a useful place.
Finish with a scoring iron and ordinary pitch. A tee-shot gain is less compelling if it removes a reliable approach you use repeatedly. The golf-ball materials guide explains why a full-ball decision needs more than the marketing description on the box.
Evaluate the graphic as a separate preference
Try the printed MindSet reference during your normal pre-shot routine. Decide whether it helps you commit to a chosen target or becomes another thing to adjust. You can like the playing model without wanting to copy every part of a promoted routine.
Keep graphic preference separate in your notes. If you change your routine and the ball together, an improvement in concentration cannot be assigned solely to the ball’s construction.
Check current packs before stocking up
The current US e12 Speed page lists $34.99 at our September 13, 2026 check. Use the selected model’s actual checkout for the other variants and your destination. Older e12 Soft, older e12 Speed and e12 Contact listings should not be presumed to be this current three-model family.

Keep a photo of the winning box and order a repeatable quantity. Choose the model that improves the shot problem without creating a worse scoring tradeoff, even when that answer differs from the name you expected to prefer.
