Website visits
Our hosting and website systems process technical request information to deliver pages, maintain security and diagnose errors. This can include an IP address, requested URL, time and browser information.
We use self-hosted Umami and WordPress Statistics to understand website use, including pages visited, referring websites, device and browser information, approximate location and activity such as clicks on buying links. These reports help us identify useful guides and fix problems. Recorded visits and clicks are not proof of a purchase or a unique person.
Email enquiries
When you email us, we receive your email address and the information in your message. Our domain’s email forwarding service routes messages to the team’s receiving mailbox. We use correspondence to answer enquiries, review corrections and handle privacy requests. Hosting, forwarding and mailbox providers process information as part of delivering those services.
Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails. The worksheet can be downloaded without providing an email address.
Optional golf emails
If you choose to subscribe, we use your email address and subscription status to send a confirmation request and the golf guides or resources you requested. Your subscription starts when you confirm using the link in that email. Downloading the worksheet or sending an enquiry does not subscribe you.
We manage subscriptions in Listmonk on our Hetzner server and use SMTP2GO to deliver messages. We do not enable individual newsletter open or click tracking. The email service processes delivery information to send messages and diagnose delivery problems.
You can unsubscribe using the link in each newsletter. The subscription page also lets you manage preferences, request an export of your subscription information or request its deletion. Unsubscribing stops newsletter delivery but does not automatically delete the stored email address and subscription status. Email team@bestgolfclubs.co.uk if you need help.
External services and buying links
Pages can load fonts from Google and other resources needed to display the site. Your browser contacts the resource provider when doing so. Following a retailer or affiliate link takes you to a separate service whose privacy and cookie terms apply. Affiliate networks and retailers may use tracking information to attribute a qualifying purchase.
We do not receive your retailer account password or payment-card details through an ordinary affiliate purchase. The retailer processes your order.
Choices and requests
You can control cookies and site permissions in your browser. Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict its use or object to processing. Contact the team with enough information to locate the relevant correspondence; please do not send identity documents unless specifically needed for a request.
We use service information for operating and improving the site, and correspondence for handling the enquiry and related follow-up. If you want information about a particular record or its retention, contact us. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
