Alphard Club Booster V2 Pro vs Cybercart: Convert or Replace Your Cart?

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Choose Alphard Club Booster V2 Pro when you already own a sound, explicitly compatible push cart that you want to keep. Choose Cybercart when you want a complete powered chassis, especially if your existing frame also needs replacing. Compare the entire working package: the conversion unit alone and a complete caddy solve different starting problems.

Start with the cart you already own

Alphard Club Booster V2 Pro replaces the manual rear-wheel arrangement with a powered system. Your existing bag supports, folding mechanism and front-wheel layout remain part of the experience. Before putting money into that frame, inspect its hinges, straps, brake and wheel bearings. A motor does not repair a loose handle or make a poorly fitting golf bag sit properly.

Match the exact model in Alphard V2 Pro setup and compatibility guide. A familiar brand name is insufficient: different generations can use different brackets. Our push-cart guide helps explain the underlying frame choices, although US conversion compatibility must come from Alphard.

Conversion or complete caddy
Starting point Route to investigate Cost to include
Good compatible frame V2 Pro Correct brackets and any worn frame parts
No suitable cart Cybercart or a complete V2 Pro/cart bundle Entire chassis, power unit and transport needs
Want automatic following Supported caddy plus Sidekick Follow module and correct remote package
Limited car space Physical folding and loading demonstration Carry bag only after measuring the folded equipment

Cybercart changes the chassis as well as the drive

Alphard Cybercart is a complete remote caddy with a front wheel that swivels or locks. Alphard lists a folded size of 25 by 20 by 17.7 inches and a 37-pound cart plus a three-pound battery. Those figures help with planning, but the practical test is lifting and positioning the actual folded cart through your trunk opening.

For V2 Pro, ask the dealer to show how the motor unit detaches and how the remaining cart folds. Set both pieces alongside your golf bag in the car. Several smaller pieces can suit one storage space while making another loading routine more cumbersome. Do not compare only the motor-unit weight against the complete Cybercart.

Remote control and follow are separate purchases

Both routes can lead to a remotely controlled caddy. Automatic following requires the supported Sidekick accessory or an explicitly labeled bundle that includes it. A photograph showing a golfer walking without touching the handle does not establish what comes in the standard box.

Try remote steering before deciding you need follow. Our remote-control caddy guide explains the difference in day-to-day control. On a course with narrow paths, crossings and steep transitions, you may spend substantial time choosing the cart’s path yourself regardless of the available mode.

Build two complete quotes

  1. List the conversion unit, exact brackets, existing-frame repairs and any new cart required.
  2. List the complete Cybercart package and the supplied battery, charger and remote.
  3. Add Sidekick only if you have decided that following is useful.
  4. Check each seat, umbrella mount and transport bag by model. Existing Alphard accessories are not automatically universal.
  5. Ask who supplies replacement parts and handles service for your US purchase.

Use the same delivery address and comparable accessories for both quotes. A promotional bundle may include something valuable, but an item you would never use should not decide the purchase. Also keep receipts and the final package description together; they make later battery and bracket questions easier to resolve.

Choose around your normal round

Take your usual loaded bag to a demonstration and explain the surfaces at your home course. Our hilly-course checklist covers the questions worth asking. Steering assistance and anti-tip hardware do not remove the need to choose a suitable route or supervise the cart.

The conversion makes the strongest case when it preserves a frame you already like. If the conversion quote also needs a new cart, start the comparison again as two complete systems. Shopping links below are for relevant cart accessories; check exact fit separately from the main Alphard order.
