Choose Stack Radar when automatic integration with TheStack is central to the purchase. Consider Shot Scope LM1 when its own practice display and modes are the main requirement. Do not buy LM1 for a promised TheStack connection unless that exact integration is confirmed: it was not named in TheStack’s compatibility list when checked.

Decide whether you are buying a radar or a training workflow
Stack Radar’s product page describes swing and ball speed measurement, including no-impact swings, alongside estimated carry and smash factor. It connects to TheStack by Bluetooth. LM1’s specifications cover a compact practice monitor with its own display and radar outputs.
The comparison is therefore not simply which device shows a bigger speed number. Write down how a session starts, how readings enter the training record and how you review them later. An integrated routine can be valuable if you follow the program regularly; it has less value if you only want occasional range readings.
| Your main use | Starting point | Confirm before buying |
|---|---|---|
| Automatic TheStack speed records | Stack Radar | Your host platform and training access |
| Standalone range readings | LM1 or Stack Radar | The exact outputs and display you prefer |
| Stack Wedging | Stack Radar ecosystem | Current iOS and membership requirements |
| LM1 with TheStack | Unverified in checked list | Written confirmation of exact workflow |
| Long-term progress comparison | Either with a consistent method | Device changes and record continuity |
Measurement compatibility and automatic transfer are different
TheStack’s device table separates the ability to capture no-impact swings from connectivity to the app. A device can be usable for a speed number without sending that number automatically. Bluetooth on a specifications sheet does not by itself establish the required integration.
LM1’s absence from the checked list is a reason to ask, not proof that no form of use is possible. Describe whether you want automatic entry, voice entry or a manual record, and ask TheStack about the exact LM1 model and current app version.
Check the phone platform and included access
Stack Radar’s page distinguishes features such as its practice tracker and iOS wedging workflow. Confirm which functions belong to the radar purchase, which require training hardware and which continue only with the relevant membership. A promotional trial should not be counted as permanent access.
If Android or a browser is your intended host, check that specific platform rather than copying an iPhone demonstration. Our subscription guide helps keep the radar, training system and application costs in separate rows.
Keep speed practice separate from ball-distance practice
A no-impact swing and a struck golf ball answer different questions. Record the implement and mode so a speed-training session is not confused with a driver carry test. Do not use a software distance-potential figure as a promise of on-course distance.
For yardage work, use a consistent club and ball set, retain representative shots and record obvious mishits separately. A longest-shot contest is not a useful distance baseline. Our distance worksheet can help organize real-ball carry observations.
Compare the full US purchase
Obtain the current US offer, including warranty route and supplied accessories. Add any required training hardware, app access and suitable hitting equipment. Check the exact compatibility of protective cases or stands; similar-sized devices need not share the same fit.
Do not buy several different radars merely to validate one another without a defined comparison method. If replacing a device, retain a note of the change in your training history. Different measurement methods and setup habits can complicate a direct comparison of personal bests.

Stack Radar is the clearer starting point for an explicitly integrated TheStack routine. LM1 remains a separate practice-device decision. Select the one whose confirmed workflow matches the sessions you are willing to repeat.
