Choose the GSPro computer around the resolution you will actually display. A well-specified 1080p setup can be the sensible purchase when your projector is 1080p; a 4K plan needs the graphics and memory budget to match. Confirm the full software workload and exact GPU, not just a retailer’s “simulator gaming PC” label.

Table of Contents
Use the current developer recommendations
GSPro’s requirements page specifies Windows and distinguishes recommended 1080p and 4K configurations. Its stronger 1080p recommendation lists RTX 3070 or RTX 3060 Ti graphics and 16 GB memory; the 4K recommendation lists RTX 3080 or better and 32 GB memory. These are developer guidelines, not our benchmark results.
The same page’s lower-tier GPU wording contains an inconsistent model name, so we have not turned that line into a buying recommendation. Ask the supplier to meet the clear current specification for the experience you want and to identify the exact hardware.
| Your intended output | Useful planning choice | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p projector | A capable 1080p GSPro configuration | Exact GPU, memory and connection |
| 4K projector at 4K | Budget for the higher graphics workload | Actual output resolution and performance |
| 1080p now, 4K later | Price both complete paths | Upgrade cost, power supply and case capacity |
| Simulation pluscameras/analysis | Use combined software requirements | Ports, controller load, memory and GPU headroom |
Check what the display is really receiving
A 4K-capable projector can be receiving a lower-resolution signal. Check the computer’s output, application settings and the whole HDMI chain. Decide whether you are actually buying for 4K now or preserving an option for later.
Our projector guide explains the related optical choices. Pixel count does not resolve the wrong throw distance, a badly fitted image or light washing out the screen. Those issues should be addressed before spending more on graphics hardware.
Read the complete computer specification
Ask for the processor, exact graphics card, memory capacity, storage type and usable capacity, operating system and available ports. Desktop and laptop products with similar GPU names should not be treated as automatically equivalent; cooling and power arrangements matter to the complete machine.
If a retailer substitutes components, require the replacement specification before accepting the order. “Equivalent graphics” is too vague when the purchase depends on a particular simulator workload. Check whether the computer can be serviced or upgraded without replacing the entire system.
Leave sensible room for courses and companion software
The developer’s free-space figure is a starting requirement, not a recommendation to fill a small drive almost completely. Consider the course library you will download, updates and any saved camera footage. Ask how much storage is actually free after Windows and the supplied software are installed.
If you will run a monitor’s analysis application alongside GSPro, check its requirements too. A PC suitable for the game alone may not be the complete answer for video capture or automated swing analysis. Count the monitor’s network connection and any camera USB requirements before buying a compact machine with limited ports.
Keep license eligibility separate from performance
Verify the exact launch-monitor integration and required manufacturer entitlement before buying GSPro or a dedicated PC. Our subscription guide explains the account layers. A powerful computer cannot connect an unsupported device or replace a missing subscription.
Use a supported connection guide and test the setup at the intended resolution before mounting the computer out of reach. Check ordinary play and the additional applications you expect to run, rather than accepting a demonstration of the main menu.
Make the final quote match the final room

Check the exact model, generation and seller. Results can include alternatives; a search link does not confirm availability. Use the official supplier links for specialist products and services.
Include appropriate display cables, an accessible control device and ventilation at the intended PC location. Choose 1080p when it meets the room and budget well. Choose 4K when the display and complete computer support it and you value the visual difference. Avoid paying for an upgrade path that your projector, enclosure or normal use will never exploit.
